Hi everyone, I’m Katie, I live in Wales, UK and I am raising funds for my friend Shadi Alashi, who is currently in Northern Gaza with his wife Maryam and their two young children, Tulin and Walid.

Access to basic necessities continues to be limited and their lives are in an ongoing cycle of hardship as they have no consistent income. Shadi tells me that everyday he wonders if it will be their last, no person should have to endure this.

Funds raised will help provide essential support to Shadi and his family including:

• Food and clean water

• Medical necessities

• Shelter-related costs

• Hopefully a small solar power setup, which is currently very expensive to purchase

Electricity is unreliable, and solar power will allow his family to stay safe at night and remain in contact.

I have been in contact with Shadi and his family for about two years now. Funds will be withdrawn to my UK bank account and transferred to Shadi.

This fundraiser is strictly for basic living necessities and family support. I will provide updates as funds are transferred.
