I’m Mohamed Suliman, a writer and researcher based in Boston. I’m launching this campaign on behalf of my friend Mohamed Ahmed , a Sudanese filmmaker who is living through the tragedy that has devastated his family and community in a small village of nearly 500 people in Al-Jazirah State.

 After a painful journey of displacement, residents have begun returning home, having lost many loved ones and seen their village severely damaged following attacks by the Janjaweed militia. Today, they face extremely difficult conditions, including severe shortages of medicine, healthcare, clean water, and food. Children, older people, and those with medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
