Help support this Registered Nurse student through her last academic year! Please!
Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you already know, I have been attending West Coast University studying to become a Registered Nurse. I am on the home stretch (last academic year).
I have hit a bump in the road, as I have exhausted all my savings. A few of you are already supporting me financially. However, I am behind in my tuition and living expenses has also exhausted. My school is giving me the ultimatum to pay my tuition by May 30, 2022; if I don’t meet the deadline, I will be withdrawn from the university. I know this is a tight deadline; please do you best and contribute what you can. I have worked really hard to get to this point in the program. I am maintaining a GPA of 3.75 and have been living on the bare minimum for a few years now going thru the program. I tried taking out loans before getting to this point, but my income/loan amount ratio is not helping, as I am a fulltime student and a caregiver for my elderly mother. Every creditor is requesting a co-signer. I know how everyone work hard for their credit, so it is difficult to ask any of you to co-sign. As I don’t have immediate family here, I consider you all my family and I need your help.
I am trying to stay sane and not freak out too much as I need to study for my weekly exams.
How did I get to this point?
Honestly, I stepped out in faith with a desire that God put in my heart. After having a successful career and a thriving business in Fashion industry as a designer and creative director for several years, I had an epiphany at the beginning on Covid-19 pandemic invasion. I wanted to be part of the solution and do something significant. I want to contribute to society in a different way. So, when everything went south at the end of 2019, suddenly this desire to help people resonated within me and I put everything on the line and here I am. I am almost done with my program. I refuse to let money be the reason for my failure. With your love and financial support, I Know I can get through this last academic year. You have supported me thus far, please help push me through to the finish line. Thank you in advance for what you will contribute. I will make you all proud; feel free to call me for free consultation after I get my board certification.
As someone once said, “Many hands make light work,” so please contribute what you can, knowing you will be a blessing to me, and with your generosity I will graduate in June 2023. That will not be a victory for just me, but a victory for us all. Thank you so much for what you will contribute.
FAQ
• Why don’t you take out a loan? I tried but creditors are requesting co-signer (if any of you is able co-sign, I will be a good steward of the loan and that would be a huge benefit. Please call me to discuss details)
• Why don’t you get a full-time job? The program is all consuming because it is an accelerated program that prefer that we stay fulltime + grades might suffer, and I don’t want to take the chance.
• Why don’t you ask your husband? I don’t have a husband.
• Why don’t you ask your boyfriend? I don’t have one. I am fully committed to my nursing program, and I can’t afford to be distracted.
• Will you pay me back if I donate today? Yes, I will if you want me to after my program and start working.
• What will you sacrifice for this money? I feel I am sacrificing my ego and pride.
Hopefully when I share my story, it can be a testimony for someone else!
Thank you for your consideration.
God bless you!
