This poor 10-month-old girl was left to die behind a shed with a severely broken leg. She was laying in the dirt, unable to walk, barely able to stand before falling over. She was terrified but greeted me with a wagging tail even though it was dark, I was a stranger, and she was in grave danger. Upon looking at her through the beam of my flashlight, my heart shattered. She looked up at me with the biggest, warmest brown eyes, just begging me to help her. Which of course I did. But now I need your help, helping animals takes a village, and I am asking my village. Her femur is broken, and the vet is uncertain if we will be able to save her leg, but we are going to try. Even if the leg can’t be saved, we are going to give her a fighting chance. Dogs can live incredibly fulfilled lives with 3 legs, should it come to that.
