Please help me see my son play at an historic nightclub

Hello and thank you for stopping to read my story.

My name is Dave. I am a frustrated musician, living vicariously through my son. I am a 100% disabled veteran and on a fixed income. I have several health issues that continue to worsen. I am not facing imminent death, but it won't be long before it will become too difficult for me to get around. That is why I am asking for your help sharing a once in a lifetime experience with him.

My son plays bass guitar in a band called Mechanical Canine. (Look them up on all the streaming services if you like post-punk/emo music) They are a young band, based out of Philly. Now that they are ready to self-release their 3rd album, they have decided to tour the west coast for the first time. As a part of that tour, my son was able to get them booked into 924 Gillman Street, in Berkely, California. This club has seen a lot of his favorite bands play their stage. Bands like Green Day, Operation Ivy, Rancid and The Offspring. He has wanted to see a show here since he was about 12 (he's now 25). Now, he actually gets to play there!

I need help getting to California, from Lincoln, Nebraska and back so I can see him play this iconic venue. The plan is to drive, sleeping in the back seat of my pickup and with family along the way to save money. Any money that is left over will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Thank you for your consideration and help.
