Please Help Me Save Selene's Life
Donation protected
Meet Selene, the sweetest goober, lovebug of a husky that I rescued from a very abusive situation when she was 2.5 years old. Fortunately, since then, we’ve had some wonderful years since her adoption, and she has lovingly become her Mama’s girl.
A year and a half ago, she developed a lump on her shoulder, which our old vet misdiagnosed as a benign lipoma. Two months ago, during a wellness check, our new vet reviewed the lump that had now tripled in size and decided that a biopsy was necessary. After viewing the biopsied cells, she broke the heartbreaking news that Selene’s lump was really a cancerous tumor called a soft tissue sarcoma.
A few weeks ago, the lump had swelled large enough to cause Selene more pain than she could bear any longer, and she tore it open. We had to go to the ER to have it cleaned, dressed, and reviewed by an oncologist who went through the options available. She strongly recommended that they surgically remove the tumor because it had no chance of healing.
The best treatment for her to continue a healthy and happy life is to have the tumor removed, and with all of the vet bills piling up, I could really use some help covering her medical bills. Everything helps and is very much appreciated!
