My name is Hafiz Umar Shahzad, and I live in Sydney, Australia.

I never imagined that one day I would have to ask strangers, friends, and my community for help. I have always worked hard to provide for my family and have never wanted to rely on anyone else. But today, I find myself in a situation where I have no other option.

My wife, the mother of our two beautiful children, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

She is not only my wife; she is the heart of our family. She is the person who wakes up every day thinking about our children before herself. She is the one who fills our home with love, care, and warmth.

Over the past months, she has been bravely fighting cancer and undergoing treatment. Every hospital visit, every test, every appointment, and every treatment has been paid from our own savings and income. We have used everything we had.

Despite working long hours and doing everything possible to support my family, I have reached a point where I can no longer manage the financial burden alone.

The reality is heartbreaking.

While my wife continues her fight against cancer, I am trying to balance work, caring for her, and raising our two young children. Some days I don’t know how I will get through the next week, but I keep going because my family depends on me.

Our daughter asks me when her mother will be healthy enough to play with her again. Our little son still looks for his mother’s comfort and hugs every day. They are too young to understand cancer, but they understand that their mother is suffering.

The doctors have advised that further treatment and medical care are essential for her recovery. Unfortunately, our health insurance is not covering all of the medical expenses, and the costs have become overwhelming for us.

Everything we had saved for our children’s future has already been spent trying to save her life.

Creating this fundraiser was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. I never wanted to ask for help, but today I am putting my pride aside for one reason only: to save my wife and give our children the chance to grow up with their mother.
