Please help me save my Olive

Update 2/9/24 I had a call from the ‘supervet’ Olive will be starting the cancer drug Palladia asap which will also mean monthly blood and urine tests to monitor her. It’s not a cure but may give her extra time as long as she manages ok on it, 20% of dogs don’t like it at all so I’m praying she’ll be in the 80%. It’s a crazy expensive journey but were it not for your kindness we couldn’t have embarked on it. So thank you again, every day with her is precious please wish her all the love and positive thoughts you can.

Update: I have a called booked with the oncologist on Monday 2nd. Unfortunately I now know that the cancer behind her eye is inoperable but there is a cancer treatment they have in mind which might help give her lots of extra time. I am compiling a list of questions about side effects, how long it might give her, so much I need to know. I’m also giving her excellent natural health products such as hemp oil and reishi powders (special mushrooms). So wish us luck for Monday and I’ll update again after that. I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped, I’m beyond grateful for your kindness. The phone consultation alone is an unbelievable £380 but there will still be enough left to help her for a while I’m sure. Thank you from Olive and I with all our hearts.

Hi, I’m Jenny. I adopted Olive when her mum, who was a dear friend, passed away. She’s been with us for 6 years now and we love her more than words can say. We tried to give her the happiest life ever, full of love. Sadly I found out today that she has Adenocarcinoma, a malignant tumour in her jaw and behind her eye. I’m absolutely desperate to help her beat this and continue to live her life as the happy beloved little dog she is. I’m a dog walker by trade which means a great life for Olive but it doesn’t pay well so insurance wasn’t possible as she’s 14. Still young for a little Jack Russell but not in the eyes of insurers. She has always been full of life so this came as a real shock. My vets have been so kind and they want to consult an amazing vet a few miles away called Langford, it’s kind of like the Noel Fitzpatrick of our area and if anyone can help it’s them…but the cost of treatment will be high, I’ll find out more and update this. The initial big cost will be for an MRI scan to tell us exactly what we’re dealing with. So I’m reaching out for help and I’m sorry I never thought I’d be making a plea like this. But I can’t let my Olive go without trying absolutely everything I can. If you can help me save Olive and if possible share this link I’ll be forever grateful. Please.
