Hello, my name is Josh and I’m currently trying to raise money for my cat Moose. At the moment, we aren’t too sure what’s wrong with him. I’ve lived at my current address for almost 8 years. He’s a 10-year-old cat that has lived on the streets for almost all his life. I noticed one day that he had a little sneeze and his right eye was watering a little. So, I took him to the vet, and he’s been inside now for what I believe to be a little over 2 months.

Since then, he’s been to the vet multiple times. The first time, everything seemed to be fine, and blood work was done. He was put on an antibiotic. A couple of weeks later, his nose started to swell, and he was having sneezing fits. I took him to the vet again, and more blood work was done. He was put on eye drops and allergy medicine.

A week later, nothing changed, and he started sneezing blood. At this point, his vet was only a traveling vet with limited resources. She recommended we go to one that can do X-rays to see if there was anything they could do. We made an appointment, and the new vet recommended that X-rays wouldn’t show what was wrong, considering what she thought it could have been. Given that he was an outdoor cat for so long, she recommended doing a fungal culture test and put him on antibiotics until the test came back.

A week later, the test results came back, and it was negative, sadly. So, Moose was put on a steroid and continued his antibiotics to see if there was any change. Now, we are at present day, and his nose is still swollen. But there has only been one sneezing fit since the antibiotics, and since the steroid, he hasn’t sneezed much, if any, blood. So, he has a vet appointment on September 20th, 2025, to do a follow-up on why his nose is still swollen.

The only other options are a very expensive CT scan, an MRI, or an endoscopy. Not too sure which one he actually needs. So, hopefully, on the 20th, I’ll know exactly what needs to be done.
