Hi, my name is Auleth and my 4-year-old cat, Muni, is really sick. He has been throwing up repeatedly for three days now, has not wanted to eat despite appetite stimulants, and has not been able to use the litter box. If you know Muni at all, you know he’s a very good motivated boy so this is extremely concerning.

I took him to the animal hospital, and the vet believes he may have an obstruction, which explains the constant vomiting and no bowel movements. I was quoted a bit over $1,800 to run the necessary tests; however, I cannot afford that. I paid a bit over $200 for anti-nausea meds and fluids to see if that would help. He still is showing the same symptoms and refuses to eat. I’m very worried about him as this could be a life or death situation. If he needs surgery, that will likely cost between $2k-$4k on top of the $1,800 quoted for tests.

I’m 22 years old, trying to make ends meet. I live by myself and don’t have any financial support from family to assist in this situation. I lost my job a couple of months ago and managed to continue to pay rent and provide for Muni and his younger feline brother, Rauw, using all my savings. I was also in a car accident about two months ago that wrecked my car, in which I had to put more money into repairs. It has just been a series of unfortunate events, and I am just now starting to get back on my feet and sadly don’t have the amount needed for his treatment.

Muni is 4, he’s just a baby and he deserves to live a full and long life. Please help me save Muni’s life. Muni was originally surrendered by his owner at Miami Dade Animal Services and later transferred to the Humane Society of Greater Miami due to space. That’s where I met my boy, and we immediately chose each other. I can’t even express the joy of having him in my life. I would do anything for him. I don’t want him to be taken from me and his younger brother; we need him. Muni has gotten me through the darkest moments of my life, and I refuse to abandon him through his.
