Please help me save Bozley's sight!

Hi, my name is Karen, and I am trying to raise money for my Assistance Dog, Bozley, to help him to regain his sight.

He is a 10 year old Shih Tzu, who I adopted from a rescue as a puppy. He already had lost vision in his right eye due to having "dry eye', and I have always done everything I could do to keep his remaining eye healthy , with drops over the years.

I am a very responsible owner and although I have always insured Bozley, the eye condition is a pre-existing condition, so not covered.

He has had many eye ulcers, but with quick attention, they've always healed in a few deys .

Three weeks ago, I went straight to the Vet with another eye ulcer, but this time it didn't heal, and quickly turned into an eye abcess and Bozley was, and is, in a lot of pain, despite painkillers, and has become completely blind.

I was referred as an emergency, to a Canine eye hospital in Swindon, where he had a procedure the same day, and I am now giving him 5 different drops every 2 hours through the day and night and 2 different painkillers. Hopefully this will save his eye and give him back his vision. Watching him in pain and without sight is breaking my heart.

Next visit is Monday and I will continue the drops day and night until then.

I have Autism, MS and some immune problems. I only gave up my job as a nurse when I was too unwell to continue. Bozley has worked as my Assistance Dog for 8 years...qualifying at 2 years old. He has changed my life in unbelievable ways. I have relied on him for many years, and now he needs me, so I will do anything I can do to help him....and spend every penny I have.

So far, the bill is around £1500 and as each visit is £150, is expected to rise. It is not in my nature to ask for help, but I admit that I will struggle with this bill. Anything you can give will go directly to Bozley's care.
