Please help me recover after I was set on fire

Hello and thank you for taking time to read about what happened to me. My name is Jennifer Steurer and I was set on fire while asleep in my tent on New Year's Day of 2021.
I spent 25 days in the Burn Unit at UC Davis Medical Center with second and third degree burns to my face, hands, back, backside, thigh and foot. Skin grafting surgery was necessary all across my lower back and on the top of my foot. The nurses warned me that the pain from harvesting the healthy skin from my thigh would be worse than being burned and they were correct. It was a very traumatic experience that I'm still healing from.
I've started this fundraiser hoping to replace some of the items I lost that night including my prescription eyeglasses and telephone.
I also hope to find stable housing in a quiet area where I can try to start over. It's been two years and I haven't been able to leave Placerville for any longer than a few weeks. I love this area but it has a lot of bad memories.
In April 2023, the person that did this to me was convicted of Arson causing Great Bodily Injury. He accepted a plea deal to serve just 7 years in prison. I thought there would be a trial so that I could hear him explain what he was thinking when he did this. He was charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Mayhem, two Arson charges and Attempting to Flee police custody after he CONFESSED. And only got 7 years.
I will never understand why it is only 7 years to fail to kill someone. And I feel the Justice System has let me down.
