Help needed for medical care & to keep a roof over my head

Hi, I’m Stefan. I’m 31 & I’ve always been a pretty healthy guy. That changed pretty drastically back in 2016 when I suddenly started experiencing chronic severe abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating, loss of appetite & ultimately, rapid weight loss. To date, I’ve spent thousands of dollars & had countless tests done (ultrasounds, X-rays, Barium Swallow Test, multiple blood tests, a full GI panel etc) & still no definitive diagnosis apart from a parasitic infection (Giardia lamblia) for which I was treated & cleared of since 2017. Yet, my symptoms & health have progressively gotten worse & more severe with time & now includes occasional bleeding. This is especially concerning when coupled with my family history of very aggressive cancers, including colon cancer.

As you might imagine, this has greatly diminished my quality of life as it affects me on a daily basis. I’m a self-employed Caterer & it has also, on numerous occasions, hindered my ability to work & generate income which in itself, is a major issue as I am now facing eviction with absolutely nowhere to go.

The only thing left for me to do to hopefully & finally get to the root of the issue & regain any semblance of normalcy in my life is to have an upper & lower endoscopy performed urgently & receive relevant treatment & care. However, I have been unable to afford the procedure as it is fairly costly. Hence, I’ve decided to set up this GoFundMe in hopes that I may be able to secure at least a portion of the funds required.

I’ve absolutely no experience with any form of crowdfunding so I have no idea whether or not this attempt would actually be successful. Neither do I have my expectations set too high if I’m being completely honest but, I suppose it’s better to have tried & failed than to never have tried at all.

If by some miracle, I am able to raise the funds needed through your very kind & thoughtful donations it would be utilized as follows:

I am painfully aware of the fact that everyone is most likely going through their own challenges & struggles at the moment so I certainly don’t expect any huge donations. However, even the smallest amount would help immensely as every dollar does indeed count.
