I never thought I would ever be saying this and asking for donations but I am desperate. My father went to Lebanon on vacation. I usually speak to him every few days but I was not able to get in touch with him for 3 weeks. I woke up one night and looked up his online credit card statement and found charges to a hospital. I Googled the hospital and called them. They confirmed my father has been there. He has been there for 22 days and in a coma for 15 days. As of today, he has been there for 30 days. My father had a stroke and is in a coma. He is very far from home and has no family with him. Unfortunately I am not able to go to Lebanon at this time as I am recovering from two back to back surgeries and I have 3 young children. I have been in contact with the hospital, doctors and nurses and they are doing their best taking care of him. We are praying and hoping as soon as he will be cleared to fly that we would be able to bring him home via a medical air ambulance. At this time he is not cleared and not doing well. The doctor won't know for 3 months what his outcome will be. He is still in a coma. The type of stroke he had hit his brain stem cells.
He was original taken to one hospital for 3 weeks and then transferred to another hospital. Both hospitals do not accept his health insurance. We owe the first hospital $18,000. For the second hospital we dont have a total yet as he is still there and will most likely be there anywhere from 3 -6 months. They are charging $200/day but that does not include his medication, diapers, wipes, medical supplies, etc. They have been asking me for money on a daily basis.
I hate to ask for help but I dont have the money to pay all these bills. If you can please help in any way you can. No amount is too small, even if you can donate $1.00.
Myself and my 3 brothers are very worried and pray he will recover and come home soon. My brothers are unable to go to Lebanon either as they are handicap. My father was their sole care taker. We need him to get better and come back home. We already lost our beautiful mom to cancer over 3 years ago we can't lose him now.
Please any help will be grateful. Most importantly, please send lots of prayers. My father is 75 years old and his birthday just passed on 2/3/20.
