My name is Griffin, and I am trying to raise money to afford Top Surgery. I'm non-binary, masculine leaning, and I'm miserable
I want to feel good in my own body, and it is a daily struggle. I unfortunately cannot bind very well, binders just make me look small-chested rather than flat, and I would love nothing more than to feel comfortable. I can't wear the clothes I'd like because I don't look the way I wish I did, I live in baggy hoodies when I'd love to live my fantasy, flowy shirt dreams.
My fiance and I have a life plan, and the first step is to get this surgery. I've been on the NHS wait list for a Sandyford consultation (not even the surgery list!) for 6 years now, and the wait list times haven't moved. In 2020 they were looking at appointments from January 2018. Now, at the start of 2026, they're looking at appointments from march 2018. I'd be waiting till I'm 60 for this surgery, and I can't wait that long.
I've confided in my fiance about this, but I don't think I could comfortably be centre stage in a wedding while having the chest I do. I'd marry her in a heartbeat don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't feel like myself if we did it now. I want her to see ME, and right now I don't feel like me yet.
I would appreciate any help at all. This is a step I've been meaning to take, and I hope this goes somewhere because it would genuinely change my life.
Have a picture of our cats, Husker and Rambley, as a thank you for reading ❤️
