Hi, I'm Danny; if you know me, you've probably seen pictures of my cat Pluto. He's a chonky boy, and I love him very much. Last week I had to take him to the emergency vet for a medical emergency and I am not in a finanical state to pay off the medical bills. I really appreciate any support given, no matter how small. Anything will help.

If you would like to read more about what happened, I've written out the timeline below.

He started peeing outside his litter box a couple weeks back. I thought it might have been a UTI, or something was causing him stress/ discomfort, so I took him to the vet to make sure it wasn't anything too serious. The vet ran blood and urine tests, neither of which came back with anything concering. They prescribed him some food that would promote urinary comfort and some oral medication as well.

Two weeks later, my parents called and said he hadn't pooped, and he seemed to be straining to poo. He had been peeing, so I wasn't concerned with a urinary blockage. I bought him some wet food and pumpkin puree to help facilitate some better bowl movements.

Three days later, my parents called and said he had puked up his past two meals and looked like he had no strength; I came home immediately, and he didn't even look up to greet me. He looked like a puddle.

I immediately took him to the emergency vet, and they diagnosed him with a urinary blockage. His kidney values were insanely high, and his bladder was the size of a navel orange. His heart rate had slowed down significantly due to the extreme potassium levels in his blood. He was to be hospitalized for 3-5 days while they removed the blockage and made sure his levels returned back to normal.

Honestly, I would usually not concern my friends with financial issues, but I am not in a good financial situation due to paying for schooling these past three months.
