Hi everyone, if you don’t know me, I’m Joel.

I struggle in my day to day life because I don’t have steady transportation as of right now. And I don’t have a support system in my life to rely on.

I just turned 18 and my everyday struggle is getting harder. I’m a varsity basketball player and have every intention on playing basketball in college because I can’t afford not to. I work to pay for groceries and at the same time am a high school/ part time college student. As of now, I rely on my girlfriend and my two legs to get from practice, games, and work. This is really taking a toll on her and her family as well. And I have no problem walking but getting 20 miles on my legs isn’t the easiest.

My mom is always out working as hard as she can to provide for me and my 3 brothers. My father and I constantly struggle to have a relationship as well, and though we’re working on it, it’s not nearly as good as it should be.

So here I am, saving up for a car and insurance as well as putting away money for college, little by little as much as I can. But I know that I need help, so I’m here asking you all, if you don’t mind helping me out, any amount means everything to me so that I can save up and buy a car that will sustain me for the rest of the year. It will allow me to get to my basketball practices and games, get to and from school, and work allowing me to put more money away for school.
