HELLO EVERYONE !!!!!

I am Frankie . My full name is Frankie Bear Pendragon as I am part of the Bear Pendragon family.

We all live at ' Our Sanctuary ' . A home for unwanted, unloved, damaged and broken souls.

All my family like me have been owned by somebody else before coming here.

I will tell you my story later on , it's a good story I wrote it myself , well I had a little help from my human ( you try typing with hoofs ) and yes I know it should be hooves but I am a horse so give me some poetic license ( that's what my human says covers me for any mistakes I make ).

So back to ME cos that's what this is all about ME nothing else matters except food of course and not forgetting the ladies.

I am a very special horse as I still have my bits I AM A STALLION.

Now I have a bit of a problem , it's a bit embarrassing cos it's about a problem with my bits , not that I am bothered about showing everyone my bits as they are walking past enjoying the countryside.

I have a growth , a very nice man called Ryan told me it's called a sarcoid.

Now I've had this for a few years now , I caught myself jumping a barb wire fence ( all us stallions , horse and human are having a quiet moment now whilst we trying not to imagine catching your bits on a barb wire fence ) well i don't need to imagine I've done it and yes it ***** hurt.

This left a scar which slowly grew bigger , never bothered me at all , didn't stop me being intimate with my lovely Dolly .

But this spring it changed , all of a sudden it was very noticeable , it started to bleed when I banged it, which made my lovely coat on my legs look a mess. I love my fluffy bits , I have them on my legs and around my head and I shake them at my friends who come to see me.

I heard my human talking to several people about my problem and I need an operation ( don't know what that is but apparently it is expensive ) one nice lady offered to see if any of the horse charities would help pay for my problem to be sorted out.

A lady came and talked to my human but she upset him a lot , being an animal I can tell how someone is feeling better than you humans can. I could not understand fully what was being said as I got really scared and didn't want to listen . But she was talking about me having to be taken away and live with other people . She even said I may have to be put to sleep. Now us animals know this is not the sleep when you're tired this is the long sleep you don't wake up from . Like they had to do to my Dolly cos she was too tired after having our baby. I will tell you about that in a bit cos it upsets me thinking about it.

I could not understand , I only had a thing on my bits , I was not ill or poorly like my Dad or Dolly when they had to move on and leave me.

My human kept saying ' but we only asked you for help and now you're talking about taking him away from us cos we can not afford an operation. and when you take him away you will pay for his operation and then rehome him. That's so not fair. '

The lady promised she would do her best to get me some help .

After she had gone my human was crying and hugging me.

He promised me he would sort something out and not let them ever take me away from my family.

Now all us animals at ' Our Sanctuary ' know that we are so very lucky to be here and loved and looked after by our humans. As they are very special and not like our other humans who we lived with before.

We all know there are some humans who do not treat us animals properly and the horrible things that have happened to some of my family prove this.

I love being here , so many of my friends both human and animal walk past everyday. They bring my treats and I always say thank you the horse way. That's when we lift one of our front hoofs and bend our knee. My Dolly taught me that

There are some little ones who have to come and see my at night before they will go to bed and their mum's and dad's have to bring them down in a car in their pjs.

The lady came back with a nice man called Ryan , he told me , yes he spoke to me like my humans do , it amazes us animals that you humans do not believe we can hear you and understand everything you say. That's how we animals can tell really good humans cos they speak to us animals just like each other.

Anyway I am wittering please excuse me but I've never been able to speak to humans for so long.

The nice man Ryan explained my lump is called a sarcoid and I have a small one on my front as well. He has a friend who can remove them with a laser which is a lot better cos it can be done a lot quicker and heals quicker . I will have to a specialist horse hospital and have an anaesthetic ( that means to go to sleep like when you're tired ). I will need to stay overnight and transport there and back.

It all sounds simple but I am very nervous as it's near my bits and will I wake up again.

Ryan has written all of this down and my human will put it up for you all to see. ( well if my human can do it , he keeps complaining he is too old for all these gadgets but I am doing superbly telling you my story.)

So please please to all of you can you help and give a few pennies so I can have my bits sorted and so I don't have to leave my family.

My human tells me it is a lot of carrots to pay for it but remember I am worth it.

Like I said a lot of carrots and this is just an estimate it could be more and usually is with vets. Plus there are transport costs as well.

If there is any extra money I would really love a cart to pull as this is what I am supposed to do but lets just hope there is enough to pay for my operation.
