Please Help Me Make My Space Adventure a Reality

My name is Natalia Floriani, and I will be turning 15 years old this August. I have a deep passion for space and all things related to space exploration. In 2023, my mother came across an advertisement for a workshop organized by the One Giant Leap Australia Foundation, and knowing my interest in space, she applied for me to attend. The workshop was an unforgettable experience, and it sparked an even greater desire to pursue this field.

In 2024, I had the opportunity to attend a space camp at West Wyalong. I was thrilled to be selected and spent four incredible days engaging with a retired astronaut, building rockets, learning about space, and collaborating on group projects. It was an experience that fueled my passion for space even further.

Recently, I was notified that I have been selected to participate in a USA Space Tour with the One Giant Leap Australia Foundation in October and November of 2025. This opportunity is a dream come true, and I can’t express how excited I am to be a part of such an extraordinary adventure. The tour includes activities like attending a space camp, where I will deepen my knowledge and skills in space exploration.

I am currently studying Mathematics and Science at school, and I find myself increasingly fascinated by the study of space travel, stars, and their relationships with one another. I am also deeply intrigued by the planets in our solar system, asteroids, and the natural world, including the weather and the environment.

At home, I live with my three siblings—Reanna (18), Aiden (16), and Maleah (13)—and my mother, Tamara. Each of my siblings has Autism, and I actively assist my mother in supporting Aiden, who is non-verbal and attends a special needs school. My mother works full-time as a Kindergarten teacher to support us, and although we’ve faced significant challenges, including the loss of my father when I was just 5 years old due to mental health issues, she has always ensured we have what we need and encourages us to follow our dreams.

The total cost of this incredible trip is approximately $15,000, which covers the program fee, meals, travel insurance, passport expenses, spending money, and other potential costs. I am reaching out in hopes of securing sponsorship to make this dream a reality and to enable me to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
