Please help me lay my mother down to rest.

It is with a shattered heart that I come to you to request your help in giving my mother a final farwell and a resting place for her weary soul. Filiberta Avila Carrillo passed on 02/02/23.

She was a long-suffering, hard working woman with humble beginnings in Mexico. The odds were always against her, yet she fought fiercely to provide for her daughters and provide us with everything she never had. It was a life fraught with struggle. Through it all, she persevered. She instilled in her daughters and family the tireless warrior nature that characterized her persona. She always provided a bed to sleep in and a meal to stranger and family alike. Thus was the essence of who she was. She taught us to bend, bow and then stand tall against the storms of life. Like a mighty willow tree. Dementia ravished her body, her mind in a most cruel undeserving way and she deserves to be honored and given a proper resting place worthy of true warrior.

It pains me to recall how hard she worked, in often menial work, to support us. It pains me even more that I, facing my own battles, cannot provide her a decent burial. So I humbly come to you to say, please help me
