Please help me improve my quality of life.

Hello, my name is Timothy A Pyle. I'm in desperate need for the necessary dental work in order to enhance my overall digestive needs/health. I've been inundated with more abdominal surgeries than anyone could imagine. Since I was in my teens, (1976), I began being treated for Crohn's Disease. In the early 1980's I started having abdominal surgeries due to Bowel obstructions. To date, I've had more than 20 major bowel resection surgeries.

In the year 2000, my GI Physician introduced "Remicade" to me. Remicade proved to be a successful infusion treatment to send my Crohn's in remission. Unfortunately, after responding well to Remicade for 15 years, my Crohn's no longer was considered "in remission" I had went through prior.

In 2015 my disease took control of my life. Slowly my condition worsened. My weight plummeted over 100 pounds from 260 lbs. . My GI Physician from 2015 - 2019 was unhelpful in treating my disease. My case had become very complex, too complex for that GI doctor. Also it was so confusing to the local doctors, my wife and I had to travel all the way to San Diego Ca. from Spokane WA. We were then instructed to seek the care from the doctors in Seattle at Virginia Mason. From March 2019 and dozens of trips back and forth from Spokane to Seattle, close to 3 months as an inpatient and a dozen or more out-patient visits leading up to having my complete colon removed followed by having my rectum/anus removed in June 2021.

Because of all I've endured during my life, all the time spent in and out of hospitals, and the removal of the necessary function to maintain a quality digestive way of life, I now face another battle in my path. I need major dental work. With my having short gut syndrome because of not having a colon and having less than half of my small intestines remaining , and not able to chew my meals well enough, my nutritional absorption is just too poor lo live as I am. And by not being able to chew that well, I risk the possibility of future bowel obstructions due to the poorly chewed food.

With the 45 years of different medicines that was needed, it took a toll on my teeth. With my health the way it is, and the inability to work, I live a very structured life financially. I have consulted with dentists about this matter and to accomplish what I'm hoping for, the very best option for me to acquire the best results is to have implanted dentures.

I really don't know what to do about this situation I'm in. I have lived a very tough life. I know with the help I'm requesting, I can obtain a quality life I've always wanted.
