PLEASE HELP ME HELP PRINCESS HAVE A CHANCE TO THRIVE!

Meet Princess!!!

She's a 13 year old chihuahua who's dad has stage 4 cancer and unfortunately will not make it much longer. So, she needed a new home asap. Since my senior dog Bo passed away a few months ago, I've been considering opening up my heart and home to a senior small breed dog for a foster/forever foster/hospice type of situation. So, when a coworker told me one of our sweet patients was in need of a home like that, I couldn't say no....despite some major anxiety about the unknowns with bringing a new baby into my home...especially one with a lot of costly medical issues (that I found out about more after committing).

She has some medical issues but who doesn't?!? ;) She may become a part of my forever family, if I can't find a great adopter...since I wouldn't necessarily want to see her have to go to yet another home at her age...but, if the right person wants to adopt her, I am open to it. I really want her to live out the remainder of her days in absolute comfort and pampering. She will be available for adoption after her medical issues are all addressed. I don't like adopting out furbabies before their medical issues are addressed and I have a good understanding of their personality, behaviors and such. If someone is seriously interested in adopting her you can PM me for more info. I'm not against adopting her out to the right home.

I hate to ask for monetary donations, but . She has a grade 3 (of 6) murmur. Ideally, I would like to have her seen by a cardiologist, get RADS, and an ECHO before her dental with extractions, and eyelid adenoma removal(s). She has elevated kidney values, but her creatinine is good, so I'm not too worried about that just yet...but will want to at least get her on some supplements for that now...and frequent bloodwork. She has a severely deformed front leg due to a previous fracture that was never addressed. She'll need Dasoquin and maybe Gabapentin for her arthritis. She got UTD on her vaccines today. Oh, and she is being treated for fleas, hot spots and giardia. So, she won't be a "cheap rescue" but when are they??? ‍;) The good news is, she is at least heartworm negative, spayed, UTD on her vaccines and monthly preventatives now and will have a safe, comfortable loving place to lay her head.

She does extremely well with other dogs and cats. She is potty trained outside and on pee pads.

I HATE to ask for monetary donations, but I'd like to be able to get her the best possible medical care as soon as possible...any donations made to help offset her care would be greatly appreciated. I just want to see her finally get the best possible care she deserves and a chance to thrive in her golden years.
