Hi, my name is Susan. I have been blessed with the honor of knowing this courageous family personally, both through my role as Norman’s school nurse and through time spent with them outside of school.

Norman is a beautiful, bright little boy. He and his older brother both suffer from Menkes disease, a rare and serious genetic condition that requires ongoing medical care. Norman depends on specialized formula delivered through a feeding tube in order to receive proper nutrition and stay healthy.

Recently, Norman’s family lost his medical insurance. In today’s world, losing coverage is devastating for anyone—but for a child with complex medical needs, it is terrifying. Without insurance, the cost of formula, medical appointments, transportation, and basic care quickly becomes overwhelming.

I am raising funds to help Norman’s family:

Purchase his essential feeding formula

Travel to critical medical appointments

Cover immediate medical-related expenses during this gap in coverage

I have also contacted my local representatives’ office, and they are actively working with the family to explore alternative solutions and resources to help Norman receive the care he deserves. However, these processes take time, and Norman’s needs are immediate.
