Please help Me, help My friend and Honor my Promise

Hello, my name is Arlene. I live in my van with my dog Perseus. We are traveling across the country on a limited budget to help a disabled friend, who is trying to help her father whose health is not so good, while trying to take care of her property and her father.

I stopped in a small town to work at a farm and earn some money for food and gas. After a week, one morning while in idle, my engine stopped and would not start. It turns over only. After testing everything with the help of the farmers' mechanics, we figured it's the fuel pump. I had the part, as it was in a box with the van. They dropped the tank, put the new one in, tested it, put the tank back up, and walked away, said they couldn't figure it out why the relay is not communicating with the fuel pump, it works on its own, relay has power so its obviously between, wires(?) fuel lines(?) .

I did put in a new fuel filter and a new relay for the fuel pump.

searching for a knowledgeable mechanic that can help to finish this job, in this area.

I'm asking for help to get what is needed to finish the job

A knowledgeable mechanic to get this fixed, so I am able to honor my promise to my friend to help her with all she is going through, and for food and gas to reach our destination.
