Hi, my name is Helena Killingsworth and I have started this fundraiser to assist Joel Carrick. Many of you have most likely seen his work via @atlscoop or @joelcarrick on Instagram.

Joel has recently encountered some horrible misfortune as someone tried to steal his car. They destroyed his steering column, broke window and impacted his wiring. He has received quotes of 2k plus in order to get this fixed, not including money he has to put out for a rental car.

For those who may or may not know Joel, let me take a moment to tell you about this incredible human being. He gives off himself daily without complaint to the Atlanta and surrounding communities. He is a youth mentor and works very hard to be a voice of change. It’s heartbreaking to see someone who gives so much of themself suffer a loss as such and insurance will not help cover the expenses. I’m asking to please consider giving whatever your heart leads you to. Let’s help someone who continues to give so much of themself and never asks for anything in return. Someone who shares everything they have. Someone who puts aside his own needs to help others.
