PLEASE HELP LAY MY GRANDFATHER TO REST

My name is Felicia Moreno. I am the granddaughter of an absolutely extraordinary man named William Clark who, unfortunately, is in the end stage of vascular dementia. Last year, our family suffered a tragic loss of my aunt—his oldest daughter—from metastatic cancer as she passed away in the hospital room next door to his. He has been hospitalized and in short-term rehabilitation centers more than he has been home since last February of 2024, and since January of this year, he has declined so rapidly we had to make the decision for long-term care. On top of all of this, in the beginning of January, my grandparents' house flooded due to cracked pipes, so our family has had expense after expense.

Today we made the most difficult decision to ease the pain and suffering of my grandfather, and will be transitioning to hospice care. While hospice is covered at 100%, room and board is not. It will now cost $450/day. He has stopped eating and drinking on his own, as well as communicating.

My heart is absolutely breaking and I have the most anxiety because now the cost of funeral services, and we are all absolutely maxed out.

I have to see to it that my grandfather is buried with the dignity and respect that he earned and deserved. To know him is to love him.
