Please help me get to Borneo!

Hi! My name is Katie and I'm 14 years old. I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to go all the way to Borneo, Asia, almost 17 hours away from the UK where I am from. I have loved animals since I was little and I am so intrigued in this trip. The cost to go is £4,840. If I can raise this money then I can meet the native people of Borneo that live surrounding the Bornean jungle and make friendships that I will never forget. We do a 4-5 day trek in the middle of the jungle and we get to sleep in hammocks under the stars. When we wake up in the mornings, we get to go in a boat and travel to where we work during the day and build facilities like toilets, bridges, kindergartens, kitchens and teacher accommodation. The statistics of deforestation are devastating in the Bornean jungle, in the last 50 years 50% has already become a victim of deforestation. To help fight against this, I will be replanting trees to help beautiful animals such as the endangered orangutans regain their beloved habitats. When in Borneo, we can learn so many life skills such as cooking our own meals, gaining confidence in ourselves, meeting new people and pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone which will benefit us an abundance in life. No matter how big or small, your kindness and generosity will help me on my way to fulfilling this once in a life opportunity.
