Please help me get to Berkeley

I am a 9th grader at Volcano Vista high school in Albuquerque on the Westside. I have been nominated to represent my school and community at the National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine & Health Care at theUniversity of California, Berkeley. By attending the National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine & Health Care, I will join other motivated students from around the country for an experiential National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine & Health Care program. I have enclosed a sample of our itinerary for your review.As you can see, this will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with with respected professionals in various fields while building relationships with students who will be my future colleagues. Attending this program will allow me to further my interest in pediatrics and reach my career goals of becoming a pediatric provider that specializes in children with disabilities. I maintain a 4.0, am involved in choir, and was recently awarded honor roll. Imagine if you had been given this opportunity for a life-changing experience when you were in school and were unable to participate for lack of funds—that is why I am writing to you today. My participation in the program depends on whether I can raise $4,284 in sponsorships. I am investing every dollar I can of my own money to make sure I don’t miss out on this unique experience, and I am also taking on extra jobs to raise the funds I need. I am hoping that you will consider assisting me with all or some of these costs. I have also reached out to Ma’s Tea House, New Mexico MediSpa, Little Anita’s, Sage Brush Christian Church, Valley View, Rising Sun Christian Church, and Dion’s with similar fundraising requests.
