Please help me get through this ordeal!

Dear Friends,

I never thought I would ever be in a situation like this. I have always been able to take care of myself during personal emergencies, but I've come to realize that this is too much for me to handle by myself.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have had to vacate my apartment. My apartment is contaminated with black mold and has made me ill the last few years. But until recently, I was not able to connect the dots between what was happening to my health and the mold.

I am currently staying in a hotel and have discovered that I will have to dispose of 90-100% of my personal belongings in my apartment because they are contaminated. Replacing most of my furnishings could take several thousands of dollars. In addition, I will have medical bills for a pulmonary specialist and attorney fees.

And because the mold is coming from my heating and air conditioning unit and not a water leak, it will not be covered by my renter’s insurance. I am in a state of disbelief and feeling completely overwhelmed. I consider myself a strong person, but am humbled by the mountain before me.
