Please help me sustain throughout a Cancer Journey.

HI my name is Jennifer. I am 55 and suffering from B Cell Follicular Non Hodgkins Lymphoma . After a few setbacks and huge amount of pain, I have completed all of my first round and at this time because of severe side effects am on a watch and wait for 3 months. Nothing has changed from the last 3 chemos. They have weakened me. I have protein loss enteropathy which means all of my protein leaks -( called a "chyle" leak ) into my gut ("malabsortion"). And I get achietes or fluid build up in my abdomen which I have to have drained every week. I am being tube through an IV so I think that may be beginning to help! I have been in and out of rehab facility and hospital since November 9th 2024. Update: swallowed a tiny camera.

So, yestersday 1/6/25, I had an endoscopy in which I swallowed a tiny camera capsule that transmitted photos of my GI tract to a device I had to wear...looked super 90's and smelled like a cadaver ! Well, smelled like an unbathed person(s) at least! So that was fun. It takes time to get the findings. You poop out the capsule and it is disposable. I am not really looking at my poop because almost 24/7 I am hooked up to an IV which I have to drag with me. So in effort to not fall, I try to pay more attention to that and staying upright. My journey to the toilet is short, but tumultuous! Go me! I am walking around with a walker pretty well. Now if they can button down the volume and contents of this nutrition,and teach me how to use it on my own, I may be able to get out of here and skip the rehab and go home!! Woo-hoo! I sure hope so.

I got laid off from my job where 1/2 of the staff got laid off in February soI was happy to hear it wasn't just the one with the cancer) and unemployment has run out as of last week. I am scrambling applying for SNAP,CASH ASSISTANCE,DISABILITY, ALL VERY DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE. THE SOCIAL WORKERS DON'T ACTUALLY HELP THEY JUST GIVE YOU THE INFO TO APPLY IT'S BEEN VERY ROUGH ON ME IN ALL WAYS HAVING TO GO THIS ALONE!!

I am now going this alone-my partner said this burden was too much for him- (he has issues that he is overwhelmed with)and moved out leaving me alone to deal with this. I now have a rent /lots of bills to pay and I am gingerly using this fund to help me.. I wish this story was fiction, but it's not embellished in the least. I face a long road ahead. Prayers and in person help are so important (and appreciated). In person help is always appreciated (like a grocery or rx pick up, help with litter boxes or trash. I have my friends and my Ma help me, but they also work and have other obligations and sometimes I need someone if they are not available. If you're nearby- I live on the NW side- Austin and Milwaukee.

Any monetary amount is appreciated, at this time, are not enough to sustain me and get me and my two kitties through this treatment and to stay housed. I am applying for all the things. Please consider donating to me. You'll know the proceeds are going to an actual person.
