Please help me get much needed hearing aids!

Hi everyone, I am fundraising for myself. For about 20 years now, I’ve known that I had slight hearing loss in my left ear, but at the time, the doctors didn’t think my hearing loss would progress. I had another audiology appointment on Wednesday, and after a re-test of my hearing, I was informed that I have indeed lost more hearing and that hearing aids are a must at this point. I have a 40 decibel loss in both ears and it is very hard to hear people in a group, or at a party, and especially at bars and restaurants. It is very awkward to try to communicate, and I end up focusing on one persons lips so I can understand, and I don’t catch the whole conversation I was told if I don’t get my hearing loss under control soon, that the part of my brain that recognizes sound will atrophy. My brain is having to alter itself to hear words for me, and that’s why hearing loss leads to dementia. So, I am raising funds to get myself some much needed hearing aids.
My loss did come on suddenly, back 20 years ago, but after several severe blows to my ears, by a violent ex partner, my ears are irreparably damaged and the need for hearing aids is greater.
I would appreciate any help you can give, so I can get hearing aids and to get hearing correctly again soon, hopefully .
I had no idea that hearing aids were so expensive, and insurance does not pay for them so that’s very frustrating.
Anything you could donate would be greatly appreciated and if you can’t donate, would you please share?
