My name is Patricia King. On the early morning of November 24th, 2023, my son was murdered execution-style in cold blood. On the ride to the scene, I was told that my son had a pulse and he was still breathing, but the police were just standing around him, making no attempt to save his life. Two minutes away from the scene, I was told they put a sheet over him, but his body was not fully covered. The entire thing was caught on camera.

When I got to the scene, as I desperately tried to reach my son knowing that he was still breathing, the police slammed me down, dragged me, and kneeled on my back. The force of so many officers on my back, brutalizing me to the point that they pulled my pants down, restricted my breathing to the point of passing out. I was injured, thrown in jail, and I myself was never offered medical attention. I sat in jail for hours being disrespected, threatened, disregarded, and mocked. The whole time I was in handcuffs and shackled to the floor with no explanation as to why I was in jail.

Once I was released, I was called three days later to come in and identify the shooter from surveillance camera footage shown to me by the lead detective on the case. I was told that day that once I identify the shooter, which I did, there would be an arrest made after a warrant was obtained from the district attorney’s office. This video that I was shown clearly showed my son being lured into a parking lot, jumped, and then the shooter walking up behind a crowd of people and shooting my son in the head before calmly walking into, and pulling off in a car that was waiting for him.

The man who murdered my child and his accomplices was never charged or even brought in for questioning, although the whole thing was caught on camera.
