Please help me get a reliable wheelchair!

Hello, my name is Danny and 4 years ago I had a car crash which left me paralysed from the chest down and made me a full time wheelchair user. I am a husband, father, stepfather and I work supporting others.

Just recently, my NHS wheelchair has started to fail me… The back has given way twice and last week, a front castor literally snapped off! This is my only wheelchair, so when it breaks, I am literally stuck in bed, I can’t work or even parent. The issues I’ve had with my chair have been temporarily repaired, but eventually I know it is going to break again. I work all over the East Midlands supporting other people affected by spinal cord injury. If my chair were to break during work away from home, I can’t imagine what I would even do! So I am in desperate need of a “new” reliable wheelchair.

Unfortunately when I was originally injured, I spent nearly a year in hospital and due to lack of income, I ended up in debt. I am currently contributing to an IVA and thusly have no savings and money is super-tight every month. Because of this, I need your help…

I’m not good at asking for help, I wish I could fund for this myself, but the harsh reality is… I cannot. I just want to be able to provide for my family by having a reliable wheelchair to do my job and be a parent and husband. Please, PLEASE help me.
