Hi my name is Julia I and I am 25 years old.

and I am disabled

I have

intractible epilepsy

autism

fetal alcohol syndrome

& peri ventricular nodule heterotopia.

i had a stroke in utero and was born in respiratory distress. Which led me to becoming hypoxic and suffering a brain injury. Due to the stroke and hypoxia and my other listed conditions I have an aid that comes to check on me but my seizures happen everyday at anytime I was intubated and put on ventilators multiple times I am on multiple medications yet I still had severe life threatening seizures.

I have developed ptsd and depression due to my conditions

I have lost my independence. I live alone

i have a vagus nerve stimulator yet that doesn’t always work. I was put on benzodiazepines witch left me feeling weak and sick for days. I don’t want to live in fear of my life being taken by my illnesses

I am asking for help to get a funded autism/seizure alert service dog but I can’t pay for travel. Please help me regain some independence by donating if you can, or share my story it would be a dream come true to have a companion who can help me self regulate and alert me before seizures as well as keep me safe.
