Please Help Me Gain Mobility with an Electric Wheelchair

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Karin and I am reaching out to you for help during an incredibly challenging time in my life. I have been living with psoriasis,psoriatic arthritis and vasculitis , conditions that have progressively worsened over the years. In addition, I suffer from spinal issues that have resulted in nerve damage. Despite undergoing spinal fusion surgery in October 2021, my condition has deteriorated, and I now find myself in a much more precarious state.

Daily life has become an immense struggle. The pain and lack of mobility have left me largely dependent on others for even the simplest tasks. While I am eligible and own a manual wheelchair, I lack the necessary strength in my arms to self-propel due to the severity of my condition. This has made it incredibly difficult for me to maintain sense of independence.

My medical journey has been a difficult one. The medications prescribed to manage my autoimmune conditions have not been effective, and a recent allergic reaction to one of the potential treatments has further complicated my situation. Each day is a battle against pain, limited mobility, and the emotional toll of these chronic illnesses.

An electric wheelchair would be a game-changer for me. It would restore a significant degree of independence, allowing me to move around with greater ease and dignity. And most importantly to be more present in my daughter’s active life. It would allow us to spend time outdoors as a family as well.

Unfortunately, the cost of an electric wheelchair is beyond my financial reach.

I am humbly asking for your support to help me raise £3500 to purchase an electric wheelchair. This chair will provide me with the freedom to navigate my environment without the constant physical strain and pain that currently limit my every movement.
