A Plea for Survival: My Family is Trapped in Gaza—Help Us Escape
My name is Mohammed Anaba, and I am writing this with a broken heart. My family and I are living through
hell on earth in Gaza.
On October 7th, our world collapsed. An airstrike reduced our home to rubble while we were inside. By some
miracle, my family of seven survived. But survival in Gaza is a curse of its own. We ran for our lives, searching
for safety that does not exist.
We fled to a UNRWA shelter, hoping it would protect us. But bombs fell there too. The walls shook, the screams
of children filled the air, and we knew—we had to keep running.
Now, we live in a tiny tent in Al Mawasi, with no home, no food, no clean water, and no hope. Every night, my
children go to sleep hungry, their bodies cold and weak. Every day, I watch my loved ones suffer, knowing I
cannot protect them. The guilt is unbearable.
I was once a man with dreams—a man who wanted to build a future for his family. Now, my only dream is to
keep them alive.
But I cannot do this alone.
We need £45,000 to escape Gaza and find a safe place to rebuild our lives. Every donation, no matter how small,
