I am only £5,000 away from finishing my degree. Please help me not give up now.

My name is Yusuf Khalid, and I am an Algerian international student in my third year studying at London Metropolitan University. I never thought I would find myself writing something like this. Coming to London to study was one of the biggest dreams of my life. Leaving Algeria, being away from my family, and starting a new life in a completely different country was not easy. But I believed that all the sacrifices would be worth it one day. I worked hard. I kept going through the difficult days. I made it through my first two years of university. Now, I am in my final year. And I am scared that I might not be able to finish. I currently have £5,000 in university fees that I am struggling to pay. My family has helped me as much as they possibly can, but they have reached a point where they simply cannot support me financially anymore. We are not a wealthy family, and I have nowhere else to turn. The thought of getting this far and having to stop because of money is heartbreaking.

Sometimes I think about everything it took to get here leaving my home, being far away from the people I love, studying in a foreign country, and working towards a future I have dreamed about for years. I don’t want all of that to end here. I don’t want to give up. I am Muslim, and my faith has taught me to have patience, to keep faith during difficult moments, and to believe that hardship does not last forever. I am doing everything I can to find a way through this. But right now, I need help. I am asking for £5,000 to help me pay my outstanding university fees and finish my degree.
