Hi my name is Karen and I am in need of any help that anyone can give me right now. I have so many medical emergencies and health problems since 2019 and don’t know where to turn for help. I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos Autoimmune Thyroid disease which has led to many physical issues including vertigo and loss of balance. At the end of 2019 I had a very severe fall because of this and fractured the bone below my right eye which required the surgeons to put a metal plate below my eye and stitch up my mouth. I had to have months of vision therapy to help me with my vision and balance. Because of this I had to use up all my leave time at work and pay many medical bills. Then in 2020 I had more vertigo problems and had another fall which led to stitches on my right eye brow and more healing. I also had to have a thyroid biopsy due to enlarged lump on my neck. Thank God it was not cancer but had to be put on daily medical prescription. Then right after that I had a mammogram that did not look good so had ultrasounds and biopsies to find out that I have breast cancer in my right breast I had to have a partial mastectomy the week of Thanksgiving 2020 and 20 radiation treatments in February 2021 I was able to work from home During cancer surgery and treatments due to risk of getting Covid. I ended up falling while working from home and breaking a bone in my left foot which took several months to heal. In March I had to return to work in the office. In May I was put on oral chemo medication that I need to take for 5 years to control the cancer from spreading. Then in early June I had another fall which led to 5 staples in my head. And then 2 weeks later I slipped and fell and broke my left ankle and the top of my foot. I have not been able to work since that happened on June 17. I have to wear a boot and have to use a walker to stay balanced. I cannot go up and down stairs for fear of falling. In order to get to my kitchen I have to slide down and up the stairs on my rear end. I need assistance getting to all of my doctor appointments. My employer did not approve for me to work from home and I have used up all of my personal leave. So for the past month I have not had any income coming in. I am not sure exactly when I can go back to work. I may have to do more physical therapy. I have also had so many bad side effects from the oral chemo meds that my oncologist has stopped me from taking it until my medical conditions get under control. So without any income I do not know how I can pay all my medical bills insurance premiums, property taxes, groceries, monthly bills and other living expenses. I am physically and mentally stressed and exhausted. I don’t have the strength to handle anything else on my own. I would appreciate any help to get me through this extremely difficult time in my life. May God bless you all!! ❤️
