Hello everyone this is Mike Moon who is a pastor and I have a prayer ministry online. I served in the United States Air Force in the 1980s. There was another GoFundMe for me that was set up by someone else and it has been closed. My health is not good and I have already had multiple surgeries on my legs, bladder which was unexpected because of sepsis. The doctor found that my melanoma cancer in the right arm has spread. I have had one surgery earlier this year and I had one recently and another soon. The cost of the chemotherapy is $1500 per injection and I need 4. My insurance only pays 80% and leaves me owing $1200. Also the surgery is expensive and I have to pay 20%. The problem is I am going to get a better plan on Medicare when the time comes soon that will go into effect in January. I have also applied for Medicaid but I haven’t heard back yet because it has only been a short time since I applied. I also applied for food stamps at the same time. I have also applied for help through the VA. I can get help later through the hospital after the gofundme is gone and it doesn’t show for two months on my bank account. I have prayed and cried and worried to the point of fear. The cancer is stage 3. I also have non hodgkins lymphoma that is in remission. I probably am fearing that it could re-emerge. I have had surgery on tumors in the jaw, and chest wall and they also removed my lymph nodes under my right arm. This was done in 2010. I have had Systemic Lupus all my life and it has caused a lot of damage to my body. It damaged my heart, lungs, kidneys, I had a stroke, multiple blood clots. I take 29 different medicines per day. I also take a shot once a month that costs $24,000. The doctor helped me with that. I had my left leg removed in 2023 and I spent 6 months from November 2023 to May 2024, in the hospital and rehab. Home healthcare comes out once a week to change my bandages, as I go to wound care every week and that has been very expensive.
