Please Help Me and My Wife With Her Hospital Stay

On Tuesday August 20th, at 2AM my wife had to be taken to the hospital by police. My wife, Samantha has bipolar and looks to be misdiagnosed, as bipolar depression. In reality it looks to be she has bipolar 1 with severe mania and psychotic symptoms. In a general sense, her severe mania can cause psychosis, which is what happened.

She had a situation where she thought her life was in danger and called the police, this happened while I was sleeping and was then proceeded to be woken by the police and had to explain the situation. Which the police noticed almost right away that she was having a mental health crisis, and needed to be brought to a hospital for help.

She is currently staying in a psychiatric unit in one of the best hospitals in our area, and she has been there for a week. They started her on new medication, which has allowed her to get back some clarity and awareness. Due to being taken to the hospital she is required to stay there for up to a month, which thankfully because of that she is finally getting the help she needs and deserves. While she is gaining clarity and her awareness back, it will take a couple more weeks to potentially five weeks.

The reason for this fundraiser is due to the fact that I am currently her only support system that is able to go and visit her, and bring her whichever items she likes, and spend time with her. Due to that I had to take a step back from work currently, and this fundraiser would help me continue to go and visit her consistently. As well, it would help for all the medication costs, future therapy costs, and any other psychiatric costs. This would allow Samantha to finally have a chance at a normal life, and I would greatly appreciate any and all help.
