Hi everyone. My dad has recently been diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer. He was involved in a car accident about a month ago, we are not sure if the cancer had caused the crash, but we do know the crash had worsened his condition. He has been in the hospital for about 3 weeks now. He was on a ventilator, due to cardiac arrest on the way back from a PET scan on August 8. When his heart stopped, he was able to be resuscitated, but after they had gotten his heart back, his brain had swelled so so much only putting more and more pressure on his head. Today, August 10th, 2024 at 11:16 am, my father had officially passed away sadly. It has broken so many hearts. My father is the backbone to the entire family, our little family and all his family. Without him, none of my family would be where we are right now. He is a husband, a brother, a great friend, brother in law, a son, a cousin, and an uncle to many, and a father of four, three being under 18. My dad is also a veteran. He served 2000-2005 in the Navy. He has already gone through so much, and is only 42. He is the best father i could ever have, and hes being the best father he couldn’t have. He helped raised himself and 7 of his siblings. His mom has already lost a son before moving to the US, now she had just lost another. I havent given him the opportunity to become a grandfather yet, and i would like the chance to. (We need him here. We need him to come back home. We need him to wake up. We have been and are praying and hoping he will wake up soon.) Sadly, this will no longer be true as he is officially not here with us anymore. We planned on using the money to continue his ventilator until he can wake up, to cover all his medical, and to ensure we have somewhere to start as my dad will not be able to provide for the family anymore. But now that my daddy has decided it is his time to leave, we will be putting the money towards his funeral and burial. His funeral is September 21. and thats all the time we have to reach our goal to make it happen. It would mean so so much for me and my family if we could afford the funeral my father always wanted. So if you’ve made it this far, please and thank you so much in advanced. God Bless.
