I’ve chosen to remain anonymous for personal reasons and to protect my privacy. I’m keeping this fundraiser anonymous as this situation is very personal, and I’m not ready for my family to know.

Writing this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I’ve gone back and forth for days, unsure whether I should even ask for help—but right now, I’m struggling, and I don’t know where else to turn.

I was recently scammed and lost £2,790. This wasn’t spare money. It was money I worked hard for, money meant for my bills and my security. I truly believed I was doing something legitimate, and realising it was a scam left me shocked, embarrassed, and heartbroken.

Since then, I’ve been trying to stay strong, but the impact has been overwhelming. I’m employed and doing my best, yet this sudden loss has pushed me into financial hardship. I’m constantly worrying about how to make ends meet, and the stress has affected my sleep, my peace of mind, and my sense of safety.

I’ve reported what happened and I’m trying every possible avenue to recover the money, but the process is slow and uncertain. In the meantime, I’m left trying to cope with the reality of losing such a large amount all at once.

I’m not asking for sympathy—I’m asking for a chance to stand back up. Any support at all, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page, would mean more than I can express. Your kindness could help lift a weight that I’ve been carrying every single day since this happened.
