Hi, I’m Charleigh and this is my cat Princess. She is 17 yrs old, I’ve had her since I was 6, she is my best friend. 

 Princess has recently been diagnosed with a malignant mast cell tumour in her spleen. This is the cause of her swollen stomach and recent health changes. After scans and veterinary assessments, we’ve been told there are two possible paths forward.

I love her more than anything and I want to make sure she gets the proper care she needs. She needs an xray and if the cancer has spread to her chest, then palliative care is the only option — keeping her comfortable and pain-free for the time she has left. However, if it has not spread, there is a chance to surgically remove her spleen. With surgery, vets estimate Princess could have up to 12–18 months of good quality life.

Unfortunately, I’m struggling to afford the costs alone. The expenses include: 

 

• Diagnostic X-rays and tests

 • The splenectomy surgery itself 

 • Hospitalisation, medication, and recovery care and I’m asking for help to get her the care she needs before things get worse please. All donations will go towards her vet bills.
