Hi, I am Meghan, trying to raise money to buy a used car. I have lived at Buddhist Retreat Centers, living off of a small stipend for the past eight years, most recently Insight Center in SC and next year, it is time for me to re-integrate into society. I live on a mountain road with no bike lanes and have been riding a bicycle as a means of transportation. To function in daily life, I need a car to look for work and moving purposes and then to be used for work purposes only. I will still ride my bike, but sometimes a car is necessary for Santa Cruz especially living in the mountains and trying to get to work or to shop. I am just looking for a reliable, cheap small car that hopefully gets good gas mileage. Honestly, this situation is quite challenging for me; it is difficult to go from a retreat living situation to a completely new one. I am trying to take my time and carefully re-adjust.
