Please help Max stick around to run again!

Hi, my name is Alison and I am asking for your help. Today, by the unluckiest of freak accidents, our good friend Max, a beautiful Border Collie, mismanaged a curb on his way home from his walk and broke his humerus.

To give some perspective, I met Max's dad Tom some 5 years ago at the dog park when I started bringing my dog Harper for runs. Harper and Max became fast friends and have been meeting almost daily for their morning runs since.

Anyone who knows Tom, knows that Max is his world. Max is a rescue who desperately needed Tom's consistency, but this is a case of who rescued whom?

Max has a chance to run again with surgery scheduled Tuesday. With luck his leg will be pinned and plated, worst case they may need to amputate. The surgery alone will cost $11000. But when asked the hardest of choices between operate or euthanize, Tom said "Max would NEVER give up on me" and I know that to be truth.

Please help if you can.
