Hi everyone! I'm here cap in hand asking for help to get much needed dental treatment for my hubby.

He needs a wisdom tooth removed which is causing him tremendous pain but due to it's position it can't be done at our dentist.

Matty is no stranger to pain, he has been suffering for 8 years with a full-arm skin graft that refuses to heal and he has had multiple surgeries trying to rectify it but all have been unsuccessful. For him to be so affected by the pain from his tooth is exceptional due to the amount of pain relief he already has to take for his arm.

Our choices are either continue on the NHS waiting list or go with a private facility that our dentist referred him to.

Waiting for the NHS option would be free...however, the earliest he would be seen is the middle of 2026 and as I'm sure anyone can imagine, that's a long time to be left in such excruciating pain and there is no actual guarantee of the wait time, it could still be longer.

If we can raise the funds, he can be seen at the private practice in less than two weeks.

To go private they want a £50 deposit just to book the appointment then a further £300 once the treatment is complete, making it £350 in total. We've also factored in £25 travel cost to the goal of this fundraiser for fuel and parking.

Even if we don't reach the goal, any amount will help with paying for this and would be greatly appreciated as we have pretty much zero disposable income.

We absolutely hate asking for help like this, we try to get by on what little we have and make do. This fundraiser was my idea as my husband is an absolute rock for all his family and deserves some relief from constant pain, even if it just means he'll go back to the amount of pain he's used to.
