On July 9th, our family experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. My youngest sister, Mattie and her two children were in a fatal car accident. Mattie, passed away at the scene, and by a miracle, her babies - just 4 and 1 years old- survived with only minor injuries.

Our sister was a beautiful soul - intelligent, ambitious, kind and full of love. She was a devoted mother, a wonderful sister, a loving daughter and a loyal friend to many. Her heart was big, her laugh unforgettable, and her presence lit up every room. Her love for her children knew no bounds and everything she did was for them.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her funeral and memorial services, manage any remaining bills, and most importantly, to provide care and support to her two young children as they grow up without their momma.
