The fundraiser is being organised by a person in Edinburgh (UK), who’s a well wisher of the family, have known them through a mutual friend for sometime and wants to support them with evacuating Gaza into Egypt and not become collateral damage of this heinous situation taking place in Gaza. Hoping against hope for a ceasefire that is yet to come, with the tensions and bombings only rising. I have no idea how this will come to fruition but putting trust in the universe and its creator. I’m creating this fundraiser to try and save some precious lives miraculously with some miraculous support, they can definitely be saved if we chipped in our coffee money or some leftover from our holiday money. I leave you to scale between everything else and saving a life.

some Words from Matar Al-NahhaI the only son and breadwinner of the family. 20 YO.

Peace be upon you, I come to you with a heavy heart and a plea. I am Matar Al-Nahhal(20) from Palestine (Gaza) (Rafah). I have a family consisting of a total 9 members, father Muhammad (49) , mother(Suheir)39, and 4 sisters named Nour 23, Lamey 16, juri 9 ( 1 sister Nada 21 ) is married with a 2 YO infant named (Rakan) + her husband Muhammad. . We are now displaced in Rafah as a family after our houses including my married sister’s house was damaged from bombing and have no means of survival aside from the appalling state we are in. My father is a retired teacher who used his retirement money to open up a small business for me to run it and bring some bread home. That was bombed as well in this war in rafah where we are. I’ll try to add some pictures to make graphic sense of the story. Here we are stuck in Gaza war with bleak hopes of survival for so many reasons. We are dying slowly. If we do not die from the war, we will die from hunger and thirst here in Gaza, we hope and pray that the good world out there will try to help us escape the barbaric assault and restart our life as a family. I hope everyone will contribute and support us in getting my family out of the war to Egypt. With your support, you save lives, thank you.

the family seeks to escape Gaza and find safety, but current border restrictions make this almost impossible. With the border mainly closed, Egypt side currently asks approximately $5500 per person and $2500 for a minor. With 2 minors and 7 adults this makes the total for them around $43500 without incurring any additional cost from likely admin costs and other travel fees to reach safety in Egypt and some basic survival fund when they reach Egypt to take a breath before they figure anything out long term. The full breakdown of costs involved as we go along, will be recorded and shared on the updates page. I’ll try to keep everything as updated as possible for the generous donors and humanity lovers to keep it transparent. Keeping the initial target at 40k GBP would bare minimum help with the crossing of the border and if we meet our initial targets and surpass that, then that can be used for their rehabilitation in Egypt where they will go with zero assets or money. According to the latest information Hala company offices in Gaza and on Egyptian side they accept payment. so the movement of funds at this early stage seems like, me withdrawing funds into my bank account, then sending them to Matar in Gaza or his extended family in Egypt to make payments to the Hala company offices there for coordination in the crossing. Any progress or process will be updated here with proof to keep the transparency intact at all times.

This family does not expect anything from us, they probably see some light at the end of the tunnel with this fundraiser but it is not until they cross the border and start a new life somewhere away from the tragic situation they are currently in. It will not be possible without your support and compassion.

We couldn’t save them all but can save some if we chip in. it’s not too late since the ground invasion into rafah hasn’t happened yet but it is likely as the Israeli side has said. We know how an Israeli ground invasion goes.

As it says in the holy Quran that whoever saves a life it is as tho he had saved the whole of mankind.

There’s no way for this family to find safety unless we took responsibility to support them and help with their evacuation, Their only hope stands with this fundraiser as there’s no other way for them to come up with this hefty amount. Let’s give these 9 individuals some hope.

last but not least , your help is greatly appreciated and adored by the family as they request to the world beyond Israel, for another chance at living in safety and rebuilding their future. p.s for transparency the family has been video recording the bombings next to their displaced location currently over the past few days and in desperation I’m starting this fundraiser for them. They have sent me a lot of pictures and videos, I’ll add some here and more with future updates added to the fundraiser.
