Please Help Mark and Michelle With Expenses

Donation protected
Hello,
On Saturday January 27, 2024 Mark Kennedy was involved in a traumatic snowmobiling accident while out sledding with a friend. While riding Mark hit an approach which sent him over the handlebars and the skidoo flipped onto Mark causing head trauma and extensive broken bones on his right side which included his ribs, collar bone, shoulder blade and sternum, the broken ribs punctured Marks liver and the head trauma caused bleeding of the brain. Mark was taken to the Kindersley hospital then airlifted by Stars to the Royal University hospital in Saskatoon where he spent two weeks in ICU and is still currently in the Royal University Hospital. The recovery time is going to be lengthy as it is undetermined how long it will take. Mark will eventually be transferred to the City Hospital in Saskatoon for more intensive therapy and as well there will be additional continuing therapy once he is discharged hence many ongoing trips back to Saskatoon from Kindersley once Mark is home.
Mark and Michelle are both missing work which of course is adding a financial strain to an already unbelievable stressful time as they are navigating through the trauma and the long recovery that Mark, Michelle and their families are and will continue to be going through as well.
Mark has always been a very active person in his job and in his personal life. Mark and Michelle love spending as much time as possible outdoors especially at the lake where they are always snowmobiling, ice fishing, quadding and just enjoying being together either by themselves or with family and friends.
Since January 27 Michelle has been ever vigilant being by Marks side to ensure that he is properly cared for and that every day he sees a familiar face which she hopes gives him a sense of calm. Marks three kids have also taken time off work to be at the hospital for their dad and to spend as much time as they can to be there which helps Mark very much as well. The added expenses for meals, gas, hospital parking, extra accommodation costs as well as trying to keep up with monthly bills and rent adds so much anxiety and stress to an already major stressful time when the focus needs to be on Marks recovery. It is very hard for people to ask for financial help when they are in a stressful time vey hard and Mark and Michelle are no exception to that. Michelle and Mark would help anyone that needed them and have done so many times. As a family member and a very good friend to Mark and Michelle I am reaching out to family, friends, co workers, acquaintances and perspective donors to help ease the financial stress for Mark and Michelle while going through this unexpected change in their lives.
I would like to thank anyone that has taken the time to read this write up as it has made it so you were able to spend a moment or two getting to know a bit about Mark and Michelle and to I hope feel how special and important they are to everyone around them.
If you can make a donation whatever the amount it is greatly appreciated and we say thank you so much for you and for your kindness. If you cannot make a donation at this time thank you for reading this write up and getting to have a glimpse into knowing these wonderful people who are very loved by their family and friends.
Thank You!
