Hello, my name is Nadi Saddy and I'm directing a feature film about the story of surfing in the Ivory Coast.

This project aims to portray the repercussions of inequality, raise environmental consciousness, and promote the cultural and natural assets of the Ivory Coast, through the lens of surfing.

This film tells the story of Ivorian Surf Culture through the life of Souleyman Sidibe, our protagonist, and the most talented surfer in the country. Surf is an emerging sport in CIV that has transformed the life of many Ivorians, even though it is not easily accessible to them due to cultural barriers and social inequalities.

Together we scouted the country’s coastline in search of waves. We made it to the most remote beaches and uncovered breaks that had never been surfed before. We shared our passion for surfing with the local communities and they inspired us with their way of life.
